Music…

“Music can change the world because it can change people” – Bono
Ever since I can remember, music has been a part of my life. Growing up my dad played in a band called the PF Flyers. He would play at local bars and at local festivals. I can remember his band practicing in our basement and I would go downstairs and lie in front of the amplifiers. It soothed me. Music was my refuge. When I was about 8 years old we had a record player console in our entry way. I don’t ever remember hearing music from it but I remember it being so “cool”. I had been secretly on the hunt for my families own record console and as luck would have it I found my gem this past Saturday at the Sidney Street Sales. It was just a crap shoot since Scott and I didn’t arrive until close to noon and the sale had been happening since 8am.
Anyways… here is what it looked like when we brought it home.
Disclaimer: We are in the middle of several projects, hence the dirty garage!
And here is what our beautiful record console looks like today!
and a sneak peak of the inside…
